Future Search in Kansas City

Organizers spent years mobilizing thousands of Kansas City residents around five goal areas for improving the life of children in the city. While they developed a broad consensus about what was needed, they'd stimulated little action. Then, in 2 1/2 days in November 1993, two parallel future search conferences with participants from every sector, neighborhood and goal area, created ten action teams that proceeded to transform Kansas City youth services in less than a year. Properly organized collective vision can prove quite powerful!
