The Co-Intelligence Institute

Highlights from our work in 2003

The nonprofit Co-Intelligence Institute (CII) promotes awareness of co-intelligence and of the many existing tools and ideas that can be used to increase it. The CII embraces all such ideas and methods, and explores their integrated application to community problems, organizational development, democratic revitalization, and global crises and transformation. Ultimately, the goal of the CII is the conscious evolution of culture in harmony with nature and with the highest human potentials. If you'd like to be involved in this effort, click here.

Activities of the Co-Intelligence Institute

Research - We have researched many aspects of co-intelligence, from community-building, organizational development, and multiple intelligences to cosmic consciousness, sustainable technologies and family systems therapy. We gather up co-intelligent approaches and ideas from all sources, share them broadly, and do original theoretical explorations into their underlying dynamics and characteristics. We are currently researching how to redesign democratic institutions to enable citizens to dependably create community wisdom together. Community wisdom is broadly shared common sense that citizens can use to govern their affairs at all levels.

Networking - We help link people involved in co-intelligent activities to each other and to ideas and tools that will help them increase the co-intelligence in their lives and activities. We give priority to people and activities that we feel are building a more co-intelligent culture.

Writing - We have written hundreds of thousands of words on co-intelligence -- from ideas and techniques to stories and visions. Some of these writings are shared with our email list and some are published in books and magazines. Many are available on this site. The co-intelligence materials on this site are about 2% of the total materials existing about co-intelligence at the Co-Intelligence Institute. Making more of this information available is a high priority, and your support is welcomed.

Conferences and conversations - We organize and facilitate co-intelligent dialogues on questions we deem valuable for creating a co-intelligent culture. For example, we facilitated an Open Space conference for The Natural Step and have convened numerous conversations on community dialogue and co-intelligent activism. We also participate co-creatively in many strategic conversations organized by others.

Workshops, Consulting, Presentations - If the materials on this site suggest to you that we could be of service to your organization or activity, please contact us to discuss your needs. Since our goal is the creation of a co-intelligent culture, we set fees at a level that will best serve that goal, considering the relative roles played in this undertaking by ourselves and by the organization we are helping.
